Pigment production in the skin is a complex, multi-stage process. This is important to know since different pigmentation inhibitors work at different points in this process resulting in variable efficacy among compounds. This is also why anti-pigmentation ingredients tend to work better when combined as opposed to when they are used alone. Having to use multiple serums in a single routine tends to be a hassle though, so we've combined some of the best pigmentation fighting ingredients out there in one serum so you don't have to: vitamin C (sodium ascorbyl phosphate - 10%), niacinamide - 4%, alpha arbutin - 2%, bearberry extract and mulberry extract.
